A Williamsburg Christmas..... Step Back In Time.
When I look at the images in my Williamsburg Christmas gallery, I am reminded of a quieter, gentler time, when the world seemed slower and Christmas held a "special" magic for children. A quiet time for family without cell phones, computers and other electronic distractions. During the last few years, despite these distractions, I have experienced a "new" magic and rejuvenated belief in Christmas, because we now celebrate the holiday with our grandchildren.
I see the same excitement in their eyes, that I once had in mine, many Christmas mornings long ago. It is a feeling of joy, peace and the belief in Santa Claus.
Williamsburg has always been a special place to visit, especially during the Christmas Season. It brings to mind visions of colonial families gathered around their tree, near a warm fireplace, while opening gifts on a snowy Christmas morning. The constant here is the magic of Santa bringing presents to the children, time everlasting.
For me the magic is to believe in Santa, regardless of your age, young or old. Every Christmas Eve, I find a moment to go outside, alone, and look into the night sky. I think about Christmas past, say a silent Prayer, then listen for Santa's sleigh bells. I still believe!
Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight!
