The Power of Light, Color and Shadows
It was dusk atop Jockey's Ridge State Park, Nags Head, North Carolina on a warm July evening.
The last kite flyer of the day was about to call it quits, but the solitude was so peaceful, the sunset so beautiful and the belief, that you could almost touch the sky, was incredible.
The clouds were rolling in from across the adjacent sound, but the brilliant light and color didn't want to give way to premature darkness and long shadows.
It was a time for peaceful reflection and a silent hope, that the last kite on a warm evening, would hang in the sky for eternity.
A person alone, but not lonely.
